Project 10-9 focuses on the development of speech enabled information access by police officers from inside, as well as outside their patrol vehicle.

Multiview

Professor Black has partnered with the Eclipse Technology Exchange, initially run by Object Technology International, and now by IBM. The goal of the partnership is to use the Eclipse platform to build Multivew programming tools.

Hillsboro Police Department

This partnership connects computer forensic experts at Portland State University with law enforcement officials at the Hillsboro Police Department to assist with criminal investigations.

Oregon RAINS

The Regional Alliance for Infrastructure and Network Security (RAINS) is a non-profit, private/public partnership formed to accelerate the development and deployment of innovative technology for homeland security. PSU students perform research and development on a network infrastructure designed to allow first-responders to communicate securely about emergency situations.

Indira Ghandi Centre for Atomic Research

Portland State University and the Indira Ghandi Centre for Atomic Research use a National Science Foundation grant to support collaborative reasearch between Post-Doctoral Fellow Shankar Ventakaraman and Dr. Jack Delvletian.
