The Professional Development Center provides Unitus with a extensive professional development training program designed to fit the unique requirements for training that Unitus identifies. All traning is done on-site and is designed to support organizational goals and enhance individual skills.

Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, the Bilingual Teacher Pathway program recruits bilingual and bicultural instructional assistants and supports them through initial teacher licensing proceedures with an ESL/Bilingual endorsement.
Portland State University (PSU) and the International Institute for Information Science and Technology (IIIST) have agreed to jointly develop Bachelor's Degree programs in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Computer Science (BSEE, BSACpE, and BSCS), and a Masters program in Electrical & Computer Engineering (MESECE) to be offered in China by PSU through distance learning mechanisms at IIST and PSU.
